[PIPython] assegnazione variabile

Ciao a tutti
qualcuno sa come fare riferimento ad una variabile attraverso il suo 
nome ( stringa )?
ex: bean.pippo = 1
io da fuori ho il bean e la stringa pippo
come faccio ad assegnare alla variabile bean.pippo il valore 2???
