Abstract: Security is an important aspect of the IT and for this reason there are numerous standards and regulations. Between these, 2018 May 25th an new one called GDPR become law for all the companies that manage sensitive data of European Citizens: so all the Italians companies.
It was one year ago, but still I receive many requests of clarification, so I’ll present an overview of the security best practices for MySQL, with a focus on MySQL 5.7 and MySQL 8.0.
It will be a technical presentation that tries to answer the question: how I can map regulation requests (GDRP, PCI-DSS or others) to MySQL technical features?
This session is for who work with MySQL and require basic skill of the product.
