Abstract: Data has the ability to transform the lives of people, businesses and the world. There is a lot of data available nowadays on the internet but it can not be used as it is. We have to perform a lot of steps before we can effectively acquire information from the data we have. Through this talk, I would take you through the key step where Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) process adds value and changes data such that insightful Business Intelligence reports can be generated. We will be discussing data integrity problems like a different spelling of the same thing, multiple denotations, blank required data attributes and how to overcome them. We will also discuss validation steps like Filtering 
, Data standardization,  Character Set Conversion and encoding handling, Conversion of Units of Measurements, Data threshold validation check, Cleaning of data, splitting and merging of columns and assigning of the weights.All this in the most versatile language PYTHON !

My personal experience and project about which I would be sharing insights : 
As the President of the Environmental and Humanitarian society, we organize a plethora of events to uplift the deprived, organize plantation drives, blood donation camps, and health awareness seminars in association with organizations like Rotary International, CRY, Womenite, etc. Having worked at different capacities and levels of responsibilities, I experienced the struggles that accompanied the tedious task of arranging funds for any event.  I was focussed on doing something about it and therefore started the “FIN-ACING” project to facilitate an effective and simplified decision making and hence working for the sponsorship team. We collected and analyzed the statistical data of businesses in Delhi on the basis of their corporate social responsibility spending and created an advanced predictive model capable of providing trend visualizations and detailed work-plan actions automatically. We were able to increase the funding by 30% during the projects first year that helped us increase our impact and reach resulting in vast recognition for our society and college as a whole. On account of its functionalities, the system is still used by us to determine target companies specific to an event and is an integral part of our overall operations.

The goal: Inspire the audience to leverage the power of data to provide solutions to problems of today’s world or to boost their businesses or for their startups.

Pre-requisite: as far as coding knowledge is concerned, I expect the audience to know the absolute basic coding skills, the rest would be explained through the course of the presentation. Just come with an open mind and you will get inspired to innovate!
