Title: How Far Can You Stretch Your Elasticsearch?
Duration: 60 (includes Q&A)
Q&A Session: 15
Language: en
Type: Talk

Abstract: This talk is for anybody who wants to learn what Elasticsearch is, or already uses it and wants to know its capabilities better, or a passer-by who wants to hear some stories.

Why should I use Elasticsearch? Should I use it for cases other than full-text search? What does it have in common with columnar databases? What if I know only SQL, will it be hard for me to learn Elasticsearch query language? Can I compute geometric mean with Elasticsearch? Is it hard to develop a custom search engine API backend in Python?

These and few other questions will be answered in the talk "How Far Can You Stretch Your Elasticsearch?”
