Abstract: The RChain cooperative is a singular project promising a revolutionary approach that will fix main Bitcoin and Ethereum's failures, creating a "framework" for massive distributed data computation. It's also a welcoming and vibrant community with much to share on building meaningful DApps.

At Proof, we are trying to fight fake news by allowing people to help each other in our platform and become the "wise crowd". Research suggests this happens only when we have to vote and decide in a context with the right incentivization. 

Our journey met the blockchain to finally have a decentralized and trustless way to register and publish vote results.

Goals for this hour:
- introduce "blockchain" and it's current state of the art, including new generation blockchain's projects and their roadmap
- how we connected a real blockchain to our backend through gRPC in Python and made it part of our platform
- how we wrote an open source Python package out of it
- a demo of voting in our platform against fake news while publishing proofs into the blockchain to trust results
